What is an Open Box Bicycle?

Open Box Bicycles are models that were gently used as demo bikes, or bikes that have been returned or exchanged for a variety of reasons.

Each bicycle is carefully unpackaged, inspected, refurbished, then repackaged before shipping to its new home. Open Box models are priced accordingly depending on condition and mileage and are eligible for return with a nominal restocking fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Open-box bikes have either been used as a demo model or have been returned by a customer within the 21-day return period we offer. These units typically have just a few miles on them, and sometimes less than 1 mile. Occasionally, we also list clearance or one-of-a-kind models as well. They have undergone a comprehensive 23-point quality check, to ensure that there are no issues, and then are repackaged by trained specialists. Open-box bikes are in great condition, but do not meet our rigorous standards for designation as “new.” As such, they are available at a minimum of $300 off the regular price and sometimes a lot more.

Yes, all of the EVELO open-box bikes still come with free shipping to the continental United States.

Yes, all of the EVELO open-box bikes come with the same 4-year/20,000-mile warranty offered with our new inventory.

Yes! Our financing options are also available for all open-box bike orders.

Our Open-Box bikes are eligible for a 21-day at-home trial but will incur a restocking fee of 10%. This is due to the extra costs associated with the 23-point inspection as well as the reduced sales price. To return an Open Box Bike that is not defective or damaged, you must contact EVELO within twenty-one (21) days of your receipt of the bike. The Open Box Bike must have less than seventy five (75) additional miles on the odometer and must be in the same packaging and condition that you receive it and must include all items that were inside the box (charger, keys, hardware, etc.). You must receive prior authorization and a prepaid return shipping label from EVELO. Any warranty issues must be resolved prior to processing a return. Returns are not allowed after twenty-one (21) days of the delivery date.

All units are on a first-come, first-served basis, and they do move quickly. All open-box bikes are shipped within 5 business days from the purchase date.
